Our Story

Hi, from Mainstream Boutique New Lenox! We are so happy you found us! We are locally owned and operated by a mother daughter duo, Penny & Amanda McKeller, and we love every second of it!

Let's start from the beginning...

Amanda was living in Sioux Falls, South Dakota when she stumbled upon the Mainstream Boutique franchise, and thought it was something quite unique! When she moved back home to Illinois in 2019, her and her mom talked about opening a business together. With Penny knowing how much they both enjoyed fashion, she suggested opening a women's clothing boutique, and that's when Amanda knew she wanted to look into the Mainstream Boutique franchise. The franchise is built on family and love, and they thought it was the perfect fit! 

After delays due to COVID-19, we finally opened our doors in September of 2020. We were so nervous to open our doors during a pandemic, but we followed our hearts and are so glad we did! The community embraced us with open arms and we have been blessed to serve the New Lenox community + surrounding towns since opening. 

Fast forward to now...

Penny and Amanda are at the boutique several days a week getting to style women who come in and they have built such amazing and strong relationships with their customers who are now friends. Penny travels to her home in Florida for 5-6 months during the year, but works remotely for the boutique during that time (we know so many of you miss her during her time away)! Amanda just had a beautiful baby boy in January 2024 and is lucky enough to be able to bring him to the boutique with her on some days she works. 

We love being a multi-generational women's clothing boutique and getting to style women of all sizes and ages. We love getting to share our passion with women from all over and our goal is to always leave you feeling confident, beautiful, and valued.
